A member of Groupe DANONE, a Fortune 500 company and one of the most successful healthy food companies in the world, our products are manufactured at our state-of-the art plant in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, and distributed in Malaysia and Brunei, and exported to other ASEAN countries.

Charting Industry Firsts
Over the years, we have achieved many milestones, especially in our product range. Among our many firsts was our breakthrough discovery that children of different ages have different nutritional requirements and the introduction of ‘precision nutrition’ with the first 1Plus, 3Plus and 6Plus growing-up milk (GUM). Other firsts include the now familiar and well-accepted pouch packaging and the popular selling variants of chocolate GUM and Honey for 3Plus and 6Plus, addition of DHA in GUM, the only GUM in the market with fine cereals. In 2011 we were the first to understand that Mother’s were having trouble getting their children to eat enough Fruit and Vegetables and thus get sufficient fibre. So we introduced a fruits and vegetables variant of our very successful Dugro range. Dugro Fruit & Veg launch has been the most successful new product launch in the Growing Up Milk Category.

And in line with our commitment to continuously enhance our formulations, we recently introduced Dumex Mamil PreciNutri™, a new and improved range in the super premium category, which addresses the nutritional needs of children at every stage of their growing-up life. All our products adhere to the Malaysian Recommended Nutrients Intake (RNI) as well as comply with international standards.

Continuing Commitment to Research & Development
The on-going quest to continuously upgrade our knowledge-base and technology on nutritional products for young children has resulted in a better understanding of the impact of nutrition in children. Through sustained investment in research and development, we endeavour to ensure there is a suitable product formulated to meet a child’s nutrient requirements at every stage of their growing-up years and in turn, secure a strong nutritional foundation for their future health.

In 2010, via an education grant from the Dumex Sciences Institute and in collaboration with the International Medical University (IMU) and University Putra Malaysia (UPM), we embarked on NutriPlanet, the first dietary survey of Malaysian children between 1 and10 years old. Through the findings, we are able to develop a deeper understanding of the nutrition and health status of Malaysian children and consequently, allow us to offer nutritional products and services that are tailored to local needs.

Our position as a nutritional expert that delivers more choice to consumers is further strengthened by a range of products under numerous sub-brands and new categories. Our specialty range products for example, are designed for those with special needs such as lactose-intolerance, cow’s milk protein allergy and specialised formulations for pregnant women.

The Danone Dumex Quality & Food Safety Management and Danone Dumex Environmental Management System are certified to the international standards of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
